Lions Quarterly Video Mag

Lions Quarterly Video Magazine - January, 2012

Globally Lions are addressing hunger in their communities; promoting water conservation through rain barrels in Bowie, Maryland; fostering sons of prisoners in India; providing mammograms and breast cancer awareness in Beirut; and planning for the 95th International Convention in Busan, South Korea.

Thank You For Visiting The Spicewood Lions Club Network!

Our goal is to support the greater Spicewood, Texas, community through fundraising and work projects. We encourage you to consider joining our chapter and contributing your time, talents, and resources in this important effort. We meet once a month in the evening of the first Thursday .  With the closing of Ilsa's Kitchen, we are looking for a new home for our meetings.  This month we will be at Angel's Ice House.
If you are interested in learning more about us, please contact any of our current board members. Even if you can not commit to joining the chapter right now, please feel free to join our online network and come out to support our community events.

As a local chapter of Lions Clubs International, we are also a part of over 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world. Click on the Lions logo in the bottom right corner to learn more about the history of our organization and the important projects all Lions support.

Hello Lions, we have begun the planning process for the upcoming 2012 Spicewood Buzzard. This is our signature fund raising event and it takes a team effort to pull it off. First things first, we are going to need sub-committee chairs. The chair positions are not difficult or time consuming. The main focus will be to monitor the tasks associated with each area of the event and ensure that there is a warm body to address them. If you are interested in taking a leadership position for the event, please contact Brett at 512-799-3625

February 2, 2012 from 6:30pm to 7:45pm
We meet at J5 Steakhouse tonight!  Speaker tonight will be Jay Spencer (his father was a Lion in Odessa!) from the Stephen Ministry of Bee Creek United Methodist Church.  They help people through crises - it is a christ based organization but they help people that are not associated with any church or religion.  It is a free service and they want to increase awareness of their resources to our Lions Club.See More
